I named the storm

Months ago, the NOAA held a "Name that Storm" contest for the 14-DEC-06 windstorm that shut down the Puget Sound region for eight+ days. I suggested it be name the Hanukkah or Festival of Lights storm, not just because the storm started that day, but because of the parellels–how long people were without light, the destruction involved, etc.

I wasn’t the randomnly selected winner, but I was one of the 39 people who submitted the idea.

  1. Congrats Mike.
Is the NWS planning hail for passover?

  2. Will you get invited for a radio interview? A preacher needs a pulpit.
Will you get invited to the ‘naming event’ and get free Seattle Coffee and a pastry? Will you have time to go.
Do you have a name for a contest that has 39 winners?
You are a man of words.
